These pencils are usually promoted as eternal pencils. We tried them ourselves and find that they could write for a very long time, BUT they can't be used forever. They would still consume as you use them; they are just very durable and could be used for much longer time than normal pencil.
There is no pencil sharpener needed.
They are inkless and they write like normal pencils, and could be erased with a eraser. They have a built in eraser too, which could erase very clean.
